Random Thoughts

People are really funny in this world or at least in my country. When I criticize the Government on something, they come attacking on me if you want to change why don't you become a politician or join the Government. Yes, right so when someone doesn't like a movie or someone doesn't like a book or the food doesn't taste good and when that someone criticizes the thing that he or she doesn't like do they make a new movie or a book or cook their own food. A critic's job is to comment on the thing and not make the thing. As they are funny people they will think that the comparisons are unfair as their mind refuses to accept the fact that they are wrong and refuse to accept the fact that India is faring badly because of the Government but due to their patriotic blindness they still refuse it.

Yes, India is growing, growing fast according to majority of Indians, (Worli Sea Link ,20 years and still incomplete) yes, its growing fast. Its growing on paper I agree completely with that fact. Huge amounts of money and growth rates are shown which of course are difficult to decipher by the layman, but still those numbers are for the paper. Reality is different.

See outside the metropolitan cities (actually outside Bombay), India has a long long way to go ahead. The basic needs of food, water & electricity are yet to be fulfilled. Its pity to see my country which has actually all the resources and everything which other countries don't have in such shambles.

We have the beaches, the mountains, the lakes, the rivers, the deserts, the forests,  which can make us the number one tourist destination. We have all the resources required through which we can feed all and educate all, but that is if the Government really wants to work for the benefit of the nation than securing their generation's and generation's luxury.

Even though we will develop one day hopefully before the destruction of this world, the minds of the Indians will take a lot more years to mature and develop. Educated people are not matured enough here, let alone the literates and the illiterates.

Don't think I am not a patriot, I am but I want my country to develop and unlike some of you lot I am not blind enough to not see the reality and blindly believe what the media wants us to. This is a small criticism from my side, and no I won't join the Government and that typical responses "Tu khud kyu nahi government banjata aur change karleta" are statements of complete hypocrisy. Could have written some more pages but a bit on sleepy side right now.

Treble Lands

I reached the place which was given the name Treble Lands by the ancients and the place didn't fail to justify its name. As soon as I went pass the sign board which looked more of a musical sheet than a sign board,  I saw a white gate which of course looked like two harps standing opposite to each other resting on jet black guitars which were surrounded by the walls at either side. Was I hallucinating or the walls were really made up of the sounds, the booms, and the echos on one side and the moans, the thunders and the whispers on the other. I hit myself hard enough which gave me a bump on my head rather than waking me up. No I didn't wake up, I wasn't dreaming all this, not even a dream in a dream. All this was happening for real. I was sitting on a white shining rock outside for some time when I saw a herd of some animals that were faintly visible, rushing towards me or some thing which was in my direction, I got up and made my way towards the huge gate, I searched for the lock not finding it, I gave the door a slight push. It opened. No one was sitting there, may be there wasn't a need here I thought.

Once inside, the gates made a calming sound while closing themselves making the same shape which I saw earlier. I started to scan the lands up and down, left and right, in all the directions possible and all I could see was the color white. The land was filled with mist. It was as if the clouds had come down to rest for a day. Suddenly from somewhere heavy winds gushed towards the place where I was standing. The mist decided to stick with the wind and it went away with it.

The lands finally revealed themselves, my eyes were in a state of awe. Their were leagues and leagues  of  picturesque landscapes. The land was covered with thick forests and strange flowers and cold rivers and lakes and snow capped mountains and glimmering waterfalls. Strangely, it was not at all what I thought when I entered that gate. It should have been a land filled with musical instruments. Homes and  animals shaped according to different notes or instruments. The land was filled with music, but it was the music of nature.

I slipped my hands into the coat pocket to get a Marlboro stick, but my hands felt something else. It was like a small wooden box. I carefully removed the box and stared at it. I had some work to do...

Surreal Minds

Travesty is a mere illusion created by the faculties of mind. A day passed as fallible is days you have been tyrannize by the mind. I am lost in the mundane atrocities overlooked by the mere power of vision. A look at the horizon makes me wonder to its last candor. Solitude space fills up the heart to unknown measures. A look at the shattered glasses reminds me of the broken pieces of life. A hope created by an unknown person makes life delicate. Is it a ruse?

The apathy in this cynical world makes it all the more satire. The world full of hypocrites preaching us the lesson of veracity. When disparity at stake goes unnoticed, it is beyond the realm of human to forsake the situation. Forays of emotions fill up the fragments of mind. Treason has become a part of everyday living. The slavery of mind appalling people to be despicable. A psychotic illusion that perceives hallucination to be reality.

The mind is lost in the pall surroundings sheaved with subterfuge mortals. A cataclysmic situation turning it into a mawkish state. Delving into the mind billows of apathy surfacing out into a short-lived promontory of unmitigated moments.

To be continued...

Some Excerpts from the Book

He woke up and saw around, strangely the day was the color of tangerine orange with patches of canary yellow and perky indigo mingled with violet shades of the iodine, hints of royal blue here and there which was converging with chartreuse green and cardinal red and the whole sky was filled with rainbows, it was like the clouds had gone for a holiday and rainbow had filled in.

Suddenly there's a gigantic shower of meteors, raging towards the earth like angry burnt arrows just released buy a million archers all over the world, piercing the eyes, the lungs, the mouths, the abdomens, the crotches, the legs and one by one they all fall, they all fall like an infant falls when trying to walk for the first time, helpless they all were.

Unnamed Book, Chapter 2

Neil was watching his favorite show on the television; The truth will be out to all today. Everyone on this planet deserves to know it, enough of this brainwashing…

He was getting engrossed when suddenly the dish on the roof came crashing down on his antique faint black colored table which he had just bought a week back of which now only the broken legs were left and some pieces of the board here and there. Neil straight away ran to the huge windowpane at the corner of the room and saw up. He picked up his blackberry, dialed a number. The phone kept ringing at the other end, he tried several times but got no answer. He typed in three letters and pressed the dial button again, this time he was able to convey the message. After that he moved towards his bedroom, rummaged his cupboard, found the stuff he was looking for and packed it into his bag. He changed his clothes and picked up the keys from the glass bowl near the door. With a dazzle in his eyes and some sort of weird comfort in his mind he stepped outside his retreat house, stared it for a moment and straight away started gazing up at the sky. Thoughts started to capture his mind.

Has the time come? Is it finally happening?  The stars are falling…

Unnamed Book, Chapter 1

What is life? How did it originate? Billions of years ago a tiny speck was moving at lighting speed through the open space until it came into contact with a huge unnamed particle. “Andy wake up, the stars are falling !” said Sam.
“What’s the time?”
“3”
“Fuck, I was just about to know how did we originate”
“You and your stupid dreams, hurry up get dressed we got to make a move, just got a call from Neil”
“That annoying prick, what does he need from us at this hour?”
“As I already told you the stars are falling”
“You all right Sam?”
“See for yourself”
Andy gets up, takes a huge yawn which can fit ten flies in his gaping mouth and clears the drool on his face. He walks towards the window thinking in his mind he was just a moment away from knowing the truth about the biggest mystery the mankind has ever known at the same time he cleans up the dust which was lying since years on his window blocking the view on the outside and looks at the sulky red sky and gets stunned like a bullet from a stun gun has hit him and the connection between the brain and the body has vanished into the thin air. He straight away removes his sleeping robe not knowing that Sam is in the room and gets his black coat on with faded brown cargos, while she forcefully tries to look out of the window, but still gets some gaze of his body. As Andy gets ready, Sam picks up her car keys and straight away goes down to the parking lot where her bright green with yellow stripes 1994 Chevrolet is waiting to be driven. She opens the car, starts the engine while Andy comes running down towards the car and makes himself comfortable inside it. Sam giving a sly smile, “How much time does it take you to be ready, even girls don’t take this much time.”
Andy replies with a sarcastic look on his face,” Tonight might be our last night on this beautiful planet.”

Hello to the Living and the Dead

I like to modify the saying since ages that Dog is men's best friend to Music is men's best friend.

As I have recently shifted to a new place, I hardly know anybody out here & as my college just got over this year, I have literally no platform to meet new people and make new friends, at this time I started feeling a vacuum inside me and voila the savior comes - Music !!

As I am interested in the creative side of life more than the logical one, my mind started to think and I came up with a thing to occupy myself and do what I always wanted to do - make a film. I started thinking about the concepts and things I can make a film on and psychological or fantasy movies (my favorite ) would be too difficult for a newcomer like me and suddenly when I was listening to metal music, it came into my mind, why don't I shoot a documentary on Indian Metal Scene and the journey started. I contacted a few friends of mine and they were also thinking of something similar and hence we commenced.

Its almost 3 weeks since we have started and our Bombay leg is almost over with only 3 more bands left for the shoot. We completed our Pune leg yesterday, it was kind of funny scene out there. Only 3 bands were good enough to be featured in the documentary. We have still other parts of India to go to, Delhi, Bangalore, Northeast, etc. Hope it turns out be at least 50% of what I have in my mind and give me the confidence to go onto my next projects.

I am literally having some of the best time of my life right now as I am actually living my dream, I am actually doing what I always wanted to do. Some parts of my dreams do remain but hey I am making a movie. Thank you music, Thank you metal, I love you  \m/
